“My artistic practice is a reflection of emotional states, mental health, and their impact on my personal life as well as the society around me. Through various media – from painting and installation to performance – I create works that act as a therapeutic outlet, evolving into a kind of visual diary. Each piece becomes a ‘confession,’ an intimate exploration of identity, memory, and the passage of time, allowing me to confront personal truths while inviting the audience to take part in the process.
By blending personal narratives with social commentary, my work serves both as a process of healing and a space for critical reflection. The pieces arise from an inner need and are often marked by a layered approach that mirrors the complexity of human experience. Installations may include found objects to evoke feelings of nostalgia or dislocation, while paintings reveal hidden layers, symbolizing the elusive nature of memory and perception. Through this introspective journey, I aim to explore how past experiences shape our collective and individual identities. My art becomes a tool for understanding and confronting the fluid, often fragile nature of these experiences, offering space for personal catharsis and public reflection.”— Tea Teodorovich
