SEARCHING FOR HAPPINESS

The work consists of separate organic forms on which are written different emotions on each side. LOVE, HAPPINESS, SADNESS, FEAR, DEPRESSION are just some of the many emotions imprinted on clay.

By multiplying the parts, a unique shape of the labyrinth is created, which spreads in a circle from the inside to the outside, placed on the red soil that represents the area where the artist herself grew up, Istria Country, the city of Umag.

The intertwined labyrinth represents emotions that are excessively changeable in the artist's world, and from which she sometimes does not see a way out and it seems to her that she will never get out of that labyrinth. Even the emotions we call beautiful to artist are sometimes an obstacle, difficult to distinguish, and sometimes don't believe in.

Searching for Happiness is an artwork in which is expected from the audience to walk thru the so-called labyrinth, and try to find happiness written on the ceramic.

VOL. 2

... continuation of original artwork

But the parts of the original artwork are purposely broken into small pieces, which are then displayed one next to the other in a form of a mosaic puzzle, or 3D collage.

Making the search for happiness much harder.
