365.

On January 9, 2023, I started writing the first letter of the artwork "365.",  that is the number of days the planned realization of that artwork was supposed to last. The last letter was written on January 9, 2024. Partly by mistake, but also planned - artwork consists of 366 letters to myself. Written on A4 paper, each one is "packaged" in its own handmade tracing paper envelope and sealed with wax. Also, each - handmade, handwritten by the artist seal stamp indicates the serial number of the day the each letter belongs.

Through writing different letters to myself every day - one letter a day, one short word or sentence that stretches across one side of the paper, and changes with each new letter - I try to visually record the passing of time (one year), and through that  process record my own changes, for example, physical, psychological, etc. By repeating the same actions, in a rhythm that gathers my attention and directs it towards a specific feeling - I meditate. The diary approach to recording stems from the idea of recording discomforts and storing them visibly, but also hiding more complex meanings in the form of symbols due to the unwillingness to confess them to the public.

Thus, through this artwork, I transform the method of writing into a method of meditation and confession - but also into proof of the transience of time and changes that (do not)occur.

We define meditation as a type of mental exercises and thinking, in which concentration practices are encouraged, but also relaxation and the

achievement of inner peace. Meditation is achieved through persistence and practice. It leads us to the inner consideration of our being, in order to recognize ourselves and better understand who we are, gain wisdom and reduce suffering.
